Duties and Responsibilities

·         Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and equipment, including HVAC systems, pumps, compressors, conveyors, and production machinery.

·         Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to schedules to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of mechanical systems.

·         Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical problems and implement appropriate solutions.

·         Troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to determine root causes and perform repairs.

·         Collaborate with engineers, mechanics, and other technicians to coordinate maintenance activities and optimize mechanical performance.

·         Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.

·         Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs performed.

·         Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

·         Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements in mechanical engineering.

Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

·         Proven experienceof 2-3 as a mechanical technician or similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and practices.

·         Familiarity with mechanical systems, components, and machinery commonly used in industrial and commercial settings.

·         Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment for maintenance and repair tasks.

·         Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment.

·         Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

·         Willingness to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and occasionally in confined spaces or at heights.

·         Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, or during emergency situations as needed.

·         Certification or licensure in mechanical technology or a related field is a plus..
