DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and Deliver CBC-Aligned Lessons: Design creative and interactive lesson plans that reflect CBC objectives, promote active learning, and cater to diverse learner needs and abilities.
  • Implement Effective Assessment Strategies: Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor learner progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, respect, collaboration, and student participation.
  • Support Holistic Development: Guide learners not only academically but also in social, emotional, and moral growth in line with CBC values and life skills.
  • Use Technology to Enhance Learning: Integrate digital tools and platforms into daily teaching to enrich lessons and improve learner engagement and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with fellow teachers, school leaders, and parents to develop strategies for learner support and academic achievement.
  • Lead and Participate in Co-Curricular Activities: Actively engage in school clubs, sports, and arts programs to promote well-rounded development and learner interests beyond the classroom.
  • Maintain Professional Development: Attend CBC workshops, participate in in-service training, and stay current with changes in education policies and methodologies.
  • Ensure Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of lesson plans, assessments, learner progress, and other TSC/Ministry-mandated documentation.
  • Mentor and Guide Learners Individually: Offer one-on-one academic or personal support where needed, helping students set goals and overcome learning challenges.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Education and P1 Certificate
  • 3-5 years teaching experience in primary or ECDE setting
  • TSC registration and CBC training certificate
  • Experience mentoring other teachers or leading programs is an added advantage
  • Strong understanding of CBC lesson delivery, assessment methods, and learner engagement
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and educational technology
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
