JOB SUMMARY
Our client a waste management and recycling company is looking to hire a sales executive to sell and market the compost in agricultural areas in and around Nairobi Metropolitan Area. The jobholder will build and manage relationships with distributors and agro-dealers and is expected to spend the majority of time in the field.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Manage the sales of compost in agricultural areas in and around Nairobi Metropolitan Area
- Build and manage relationships with distributors and agro-dealers
- Manage field trials
- Organize sales and marketing events
- Teach farmers, farmer groups and distributors on compost and its benefits
- Closely tracking and reporting sales and marketing activities
- Proactively help customers by answering questions and responding to their requests
- Send appropriate information and technical reports to the clients for quotation
- Manage existing customers and build a new clientele base
- Daily and weekly reporting to the Sales Team Manager
- Manage leads tracking, online database, and scheduling
JOB REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in agronomy or related field
· 3 years+ sales experience as an agronomist:
· Experience in on-the-ground selling of fertilizer or related products
· Experience with organic products
· Experience with distributors and agro-dealers
· Existing contacts and network within the farming community
· Hands-on sales person with great people skills
· Driven and go-getter
· Thrive on challenges in a fast growing innovative start-up culture
· Self-starter, show initiative and work under pressure
· Excellent organizational and communicational skills
· High level of integrity
