Position: IT Technical Trainees

Location: Nairobi

Nature of work: Full time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Keep up to date with Knowledge and trends on IT Security and Administration
• Perform user support to local users
• Manage Windows and Linux Servers
• Perform backups and data transfer activities
• Write new programs/scripts and modify databases to suit internal and client requirements
• Do the documentation for products and changes
• Document and manage all IT inventory
• Contribute new ideas and propose for development of new systems
• Manage and troubleshoot Asterisk based PBX systems
• Manage external vendors and suppliers for all IT related services.

Required Skills:

• Basic network troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge in computer hardware maintenance and assembly
• Knowledge in current IT security trends and remediation
• Working knowledge in Linux.
• Working knowledge of databases My SQL , MS SQL,  posters
• Experience in technical support and troubleshooting of windows devices required
• Basic knowledge in IP telephony will be an added advantage
• Certification in ITIL / MCSA / LPIC / CCNA or other industry standard certifications will be an added advantage

Minimum Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or relative subject from a recognized university or Equivalent
• Diploma in Business Information systems from recognized institution
• Relevant IT Certifications
