DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and serve a wide variety of hot and cold beverages, including but not limited to: espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, teas, smoothies, and specialty drinks.
  • Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods to assist guests with accurate recommendations.
  • Ensure consistent quality in every drink served, adhering to company standards and presentation guidelines.
  • Manage daily mise-en-place for the bar area, including restocking supplies, prepping ingredients, and setting up the workstation.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders, blenders, and other bar equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service stations, and equipment according to hygiene and health regulations.
  • Engage with guests in a courteous, friendly, and professional manner to enhance their overall dining experience.
  • Monitor inventory levels of beverages, consumables, and bar supplies; report shortages or needs to management.
  • Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately and efficiently, when required.
  • Support other front-of-house and service team members during peak hours or as directed by management.
  • Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Stay updated with current beverage trends and make suggestions for new drink additions or improvements.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate or training in Barista skills or hospitality is an added advantage
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Barista in a high-end restaurant or fine dining environment
  • Proficient in preparing various coffee styles and beverages with an eye for quality and presentation
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
  • Knowledge of POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
