DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drink Preparation and Service
- Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure drinks are served promptly and presented attractively.
- Recommend drinks or cocktails to guests based on their tastes or special promotions.
Customer Service and Guest Interaction
- Greet and engage with guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, or inquiries efficiently and courteously.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by creating a positive bar experience.
Bar Maintenance and Hygiene
- Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked throughout the shift.
- Regularly clean glassware, utensils, and equipment to meet hygiene standards.
- Dispose of waste properly and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Cash Handling and POS Operations
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for billing, order entry, and payments.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other transactions responsibly.
- Reconcile sales at the end of the shift and report discrepancies to management.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels of beverages, garnishes, and bar supplies.
- Assist with inventory counts and report shortages or ordering needs to the manager.
- Ensure proper storage and rotation of stock to prevent spoilage or wastage.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in training new bar staff or supporting colleagues during busy periods.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving bar service.
Compliance and Professionalism
- Adhere to all company policies, including dress code and grooming standards.
- Follow responsible alcohol service practices and local laws regarding alcohol consumption.
- Maintain professional conduct and represent the establishment positively at all times.
Flexible Scheduling
- Be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
- Adapt to changing work demands and handle high-pressure situations efficiently.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Certificate or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience working as a Barman or in a similar hospitality role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using POS systems for transactions.
- Excellent grooming and professional appearance.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
