DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify and Generate New Business Opportunities
- Actively scout and research potential clients in construction, manufacturing, and related sectors.
- Build a pipeline of qualified leads through cold calls, referrals, site visits, social media engagement, and networking events.
- Set up initial meetings, product demos, and presentations to introduce company offerings and establish business interest.
Promote and Sell Power Tools & Construction Equipment
- Present and sell a full range of construction tools including power drills, table saws, concrete mixers, air compressors, power trowels, etc.
- Clearly communicate the technical specifications, use cases, and advantages of each tool or machine based on customer needs.
- Tailor sales approaches for different customer segments (e.g., contractors, foremen, procurement officers).
Conduct Product Demonstrations and Training
- Schedule and perform on-site or showroom-based demos to illustrate the functionality and benefits of equipment.
- Train users on correct operation, safety precautions, and basic maintenance procedures.
- Provide brochures, manuals, and reference materials to assist clients in decision-making.
Build and Maintain Strong Client Relationships
- Establish long-term trust with key accounts through regular follow-ups, relationship management, and responsiveness.
- Provide continuous support to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Resolve client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to technical teams when needed.
Develop and Execute Sales Strategies
- Plan and implement monthly sales plans and targets in alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the Sales Manager to refine sales tactics based on territory performance and market trends.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and new opportunities.
Market Intelligence and Competitive Analysis
- Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, promotions, and market positioning.
- Collect and analyze client feedback and market trends to help improve product offerings and strategy.
- Report findings and insights to the management team for strategic adjustments.
Sales Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate sales records including quotations, orders, invoices, and client contact information using CRM systems or designated tools.
- Submit weekly and monthly sales reports with clear summaries of activities, leads, conversions, and forecasts.
- Track and manage commissionable sales performance based on predefined targets.
Coordination with Internal Teams
- Work closely with the logistics and technical service teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of products.
- Communicate any product shortages, delays, or client-specific customizations to relevant departments.
- Assist in managing stock levels by forecasting product demand from clients.
Participate in Exhibitions, Trade Fairs & Client Events
- Represent the company at industry events, expos, trade shows, and open houses.
- Set up product displays, engage prospective clients, and distribute promotional materials.
- Capture leads and follow up on post-event engagements.
After-Sales Support and Customer Care
- Conduct after-sales follow-up to ensure client satisfaction with products purchased.
- Address technical or operational issues by coordinating with the service department.
- Upsell accessories, consumables, and service packages when appropriate.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of proven field sales experience in power tools or construction machinery
- Solid understanding of construction tools and equipment, with ability to explain technical specifications to non-technical clients
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
