DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic PR & Marketing

  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR and marketing strategies for the Kenya Homes Expo.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, manage media relations, and serve as the event spokesperson where necessary.
  • Plan and oversee social media campaigns, email marketing, influencer collaborations, and digital advertising.
  • Implement campaigns across multiple platforms to drive attendee registration, sponsor engagement, and exhibitor participation.

Branding & Event Communications

  • Lead all event branding initiatives including visual identity, signage, promotional materials, and online presence.
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Develop exhibitor promotional toolkits and marketing support materials to enhance exhibitor visibility.

Stakeholder & Media Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media houses, sponsors, industry associations, and key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate interviews, media coverage, and press conferences to enhance event visibility.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment of event communications.

Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns using tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, and email campaign metrics.
  • Prepare detailed post-event reports, highlighting media coverage, marketing ROI, audience engagement, and recommendations for improvement.

Event Operations Support

  • Collaborate with the events team to align marketing and communications with operational planning.
  • Support community engagement initiatives and audience interaction activities during the event.
  • Ensure timely delivery of marketing and PR assets to meet event deadlines.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration
  • 4–6 years of experience in marketing, PR, communications, or events management, preferably with large-scale events or trade fairs
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Google Analytics, and Meta Ads Manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, storytelling, and creative skills
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and perform under pressure
