SALES ASSISTANTS (RESTAURANT)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greet and engage customers in a warm and professional manner, both in-person and online
• Promote and upsell restaurant offerings (meals, beverages, promotions, etc.) to increase sales
• Respond promptly and professionally to online inquiries via platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, or delivery apps
• Convert online leads and enquiries into confirmed sales/orders
• Maintain a clean and attractive sales area and ensure proper presentation of restaurant products
• Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Handle customer feedback and resolve any concerns with tact and professionalism
• Track daily sales and report customer feedback or trends to the supervisor/manager
• Assist in marketing and promotional activities (e.g., online posts, food photography, customer engagement online)
• Support in basic administrative or front-of-house tasks when required

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Proven experience in sales, customer service, or a restaurant/hospitality environment
• Familiarity with online selling and social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, WhatsApp Business, Facebook)
• Ability to convert enquiries into actual sales, both face-to-face and online
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Presentable, confident, and proactive in engaging with customers
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Flexible and willing to work on weekends, holidays, or peak hours
