DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, cold calling, networking, and client visits.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sale in line with company policies.
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets as set by management.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales support.
  • Provide accurate information regarding product specifications, pricing, and availability.
  • Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage order processing from quotation to delivery in coordination with production and logistics teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Collect and analyze customer feedback and market trends to inform product development and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor competitor activities and suggest strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma in Purchasing and Supplies, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in sales or customer service, ideally within a plastics manufacturing or industrial products company
  • Experience selling plastic tanks, piping, or construction materials will be a strong advantage
  • Strong understanding of the Nairobi and regional market dynamics
