DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Kitchen Hygiene & Cleanliness
- Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including food preparation surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage spaces.
- Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
- Ensure proper waste disposal and segregation in line with hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area at all times.
Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance
- Follow strict food safety and hygiene procedures during all kitchen operations.
- Support in maintaining cleanliness standards required by health and safety regulations.
- Report any hygiene risks, pest issues, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
Kitchen Support Operations
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks when required.
- Ensure availability of clean utensils and equipment during food preparation and service.
- Support in receiving and organizing kitchen supplies and deliveries.
Equipment Care & Maintenance
- Handle kitchen tools and equipment responsibly to prevent damage.
- Report broken or faulty equipment for repair or replacement.
- Ensure proper storage of cleaned items in designated areas.
Guest & Team Support
- Maintain a neat appearance and professional conduct at all times.
- Demonstrate good customer service attitude when interacting with staff and guests.
- Work cooperatively with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and sanitation standards.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role is an added advantage.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Hardworking and reliable.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Well-groomed and neat appearance.
- Able to follow instructions and work under supervision.
