STEWARD

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Clean and sanitize dishes, cutlery, kitchen utensils, cookware, and food preparation equipment.
• Ensure all kitchen workstations, floors, walls, sinks, and storage areas are kept clean and hygienic at all times.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and food safety in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
• Properly handle, sort, and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing kitchen supplies when required.
• Support kitchen staff by ensuring they have clean equipment and utensils available throughout service periods.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation procedures to create a safe working environment.
• Perform any other cleaning and support duties assigned by management.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, dishwashing processes, and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Previous experience as a Steward, Kitchen Assistant, Cleaner, or in a similar hospitality role will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Reliable, trustworthy, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
