DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Bookkeeping & Data Entry
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Post daily transactions in the accounting system.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and payments.
- Generate customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
Bank & Cash Management
- Prepare bank reconciliations and update cash books.
- Assist in managing petty cash and ensuring all transactions are documented.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of management reports and financial statements.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including VAT, PAYE, and SHIF.
- File financial documents and maintain an organized records system.
Support to Senior Staff
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the accountant and other finance team members.
- Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as required.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- CPA Section 4 and above or a Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
