ASSISTANT VAN SALESMAN

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in loading and offloading products onto the van at the warehouse and customer locations.
• Support the Van Sales Executive in visiting assigned routes and delivering products to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales van and stock.
• Ensure accurate delivery documentation including invoices, delivery notes, and returns.
• Help maintain proper stock rotation (FIFO) and report any near-expiry or damaged goods.
• Assist in collecting customer payments and issuing receipts as instructed.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
• Record customer feedback and report it to the Sales Executive or Supervisor.
• Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling and product handling.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar sales or distribution support role
• Experience in an alcohol distribution company is an added advantage
• Familiarity with Eastlands routes and customer base is desirable
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks such as lifting and carrying crates or cartons
