DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in accordance with standard recipes and production schedules.
- Measure and mix ingredients using baking equipment and tools.
- Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all baked products.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, tools, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; notify supervisor when stock is low.
- Assist in developing new recipes or seasonal baked products as required.
- Package and label baked goods for display and sale.
- Work closely with other kitchen or supermarket staff to ensure timely product availability.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Proven baking experience in a commercial kitchen or supermarket bakery (minimum 1 year preferred)
- Knowledge of a wide range of baking techniques and recipes
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules with precision
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Punctual, reliable, and able to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
