DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods in accordance with standard recipes and production schedules.
  • Measure and mix ingredients using baking equipment and tools.
  • Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure consistency and quality in all baked products.
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, tools, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; notify supervisor when stock is low.
  • Assist in developing new recipes or seasonal baked products as required.
  • Package and label baked goods for display and sale.
  • Work closely with other kitchen or supermarket staff to ensure timely product availability.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Proven baking experience in a commercial kitchen or supermarket bakery (minimum 1 year preferred)
  • Knowledge of a wide range of baking techniques and recipes
  • Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and production schedules with precision
  • Physically fit and able to stand for long hours
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as needed
