DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Acquisition
- Identify and target potential clients through research, outreach, and field engagement.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to businesses, project sites, and commercial areas to present company offerings and generate interest.
- Pitch solutions that align with client needs and convert leads into sales opportunities.
Sales Conversion & Revenue Growth
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets through consistent pipeline management and deal closure.
- Follow up with prospects, handle objections, and negotiate pricing to secure new business.
- Maintain a strong focus on closing deals and expanding revenue from new accounts.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Build lasting relationships with key decision-makers, contractors, architects, and business owners.
- Provide tailored solutions based on client requirements and follow up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Territory Coverage & Mobility
- Cover assigned zones through active daily outreach and scheduled visits.
- Must be comfortable and licensed to ride a motorcycle for local travel across Dar es Salaam and nearby regions.
Reporting & Pipeline Management
- Maintain accurate logs of leads, prospects, client meetings, and status updates.
- Prepare weekly reports on sales performance and provide insights on client feedback and market dynamics.
Market Awareness & Competitive Insight
- Keep track of industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential areas of opportunity.
- Provide feedback to the internal team on service improvement, pricing strategies, and customer expectations.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales, business development, or marketing, preferably in the construction, signage, interiors, architecture, or furniture sectors
- Valid motorcycle license and ability to ride for client visits
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working with limited supervision
