DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Property Maintenance & Cleanliness

  • Supervise daily cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure a clean and orderly environment.
  • Monitor the condition of the building, equipment, and facilities, and report or coordinate repairs promptly.
  • Ensure that all common areas (corridors, lobbies, staircases, washrooms, etc.) are well-maintained.

Tenant Relations & Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for tenants regarding facility-related issues.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to tenant inquiries and complaints.
  • Coordinate with the property management team to resolve tenant concerns effectively.

Supervision of Service Providers

  • Oversee and coordinate the work of third-party service providers (e.g., cleaners, security, electricians, plumbers).
  • Ensure that contractors follow proper procedures and safety standards.

Safety & Compliance

  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify safety risks or hazards.
  • Ensure all fire safety, emergency, and security protocols are being followed.
  • Report incidents, accidents, or security issues to the appropriate authorities or management.

Record Keeping & Reporting

  • Maintain logs for maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and tenant issues.
  • Provide regular reports on the condition of the property and any issues that require management attention.

 

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Maintenance, or a related field
  • 3–4 years in property or facilities management, preferably in a similar caretaker role
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general maintenance procedures is an added advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
  • Proactive in identifying and solving maintenance-related problems
