DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate and maintain company vehicles (pick-ups, canters, and trucks) in a safe and responsible manner.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and ensure vehicles are well-maintained and clean.
- Plan routes effectively and ensure timely delivery of goods to designated destinations.
- Handle delivery-related documentation including delivery notes, goods received forms, and transport logs.
- Assist with loading and offloading of cargo as required.
- Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company driving policies.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics staff to ensure smooth flow of goods.
- Maintain accurate mileage and fuel consumption records.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in driving, preferably handling pick-ups, canters, or trucks
- Valid Kenya Driving License – Categories C and D1
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI)
- Familiarity with logistics operations, transport documentation, and basic vehicle maintenance
- Excellent understanding of traffic rules, road safety, and regional routes (especially in the Coast region)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under minimal supervision
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading/unloading when needed
