DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Identify potential hardware shops and generate new business opportunities.
  • Present and demonstrate products effectively to maximize sales.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with hardware shop owners and decision-makers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through regular follow-ups and prompt resolution of complaints.
  • Educate clients on product features, usage, and benefits to drive repeat business.

Market Development & Reporting

  • Conduct market visits to monitor competitors, product trends, and pricing strategies.
  • Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, client feedback, and market conditions.
  • Suggest new product ideas or promotional strategies based on customer insights.

Collections & Administration

  • Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain accurate records of sales transactions.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports as required.
  • Maintain proper documentation for client interactions and orders.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in selling construction materials or related products to hardware shops
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and goal-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Honest, reliable, and capable of working independently in the field
  • Knowledge of Mombasa hardware market is an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license and own means of transport preferred
