DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cocktail Creation & Preparation

  • Craft high-quality cocktails, spirits, and liqueur-based drinks with precision, creativity, and consistency.
  • Experiment with new flavors, garnishes, and techniques to create signature cocktails for the bar.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and quality across all drinks served.

Menu Development & Innovation

  • Collaborate with management and culinary teams to design innovative cocktail menus aligned with seasonal ingredients, special events, and current trends.
  • Regularly update and refine drink recipes to keep offerings fresh and exciting for guests.

Guest Experience & Service

  • Provide personalized recommendations to guests based on their tastes and preferences.
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming, enjoyable, and memorable experience.
  • Educate guests on cocktail ingredients, origins, and mixology techniques when appropriate.

Bar Management & Operations

  • Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and place orders to maintain adequate supply.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in proper working order; report maintenance needs promptly.

Team Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with other bar staff, servers, and kitchen staff to coordinate smooth service.
  • Train junior bar staff or interns in mixology techniques, drink preparation, and service standards.

 Quality Control & Compliance

  • Uphold hygiene, safety, and health standards in line with local regulations.
  • Ensure responsible serving of alcohol, adhering to legal age restrictions and company policies.
  • Monitor drink quality, presentation, and portion control to minimize waste and maximize guest satisfaction.

 Event & Special Services

  • Prepare drinks for private events, parties, and VIP guests as needed.
  • Assist in planning themed or promotional drink events to boost bar revenue and brand image.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certification in Mixology or equivalent recognized qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a mixologist in luxury hospitality, fine dining, or high-volume bar environments
  • Extensive knowledge of spirits, liquors, liqueurs, cocktail methodology, and contemporary mixology techniques
  • Strong understanding of balance, flavor profiles, garnishing, and cocktail presentation.
  • Exceptional communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards
  • Passionate about mixology, creativity, and providing memorable guest experiences
