DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
System Support & Incident Management
- Provide end-to-end support for the Finacle Core Banking System, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system incidents, errors, and performance bottlenecks
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures
- Manage incident escalation and resolution within agreed SLAs
System Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Continuously monitor system performance, logs, and batch processes
- Identify performance gaps and implement tuning and optimization strategies
- Ensure smooth execution of End-of-Day (EOD), End-of-Month (EOM), and End-of-Year (EOY) processes
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation measures
Change Management, Upgrades & Patch Deployment
- Plan, coordinate, and execute Finacle upgrades, patches, and hotfix deployments
- Conduct impact analysis and ensure proper testing before deployment
- Collaborate with QA teams during UAT and production releases
- Maintain rollback and contingency plans for system changes
Functional & Technical User Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for Finacle-related queries and issues
- Provide both functional (banking processes) and technical (system-related) support
- Train end users and create user guides to enhance system adoption
- Translate business requirements into system solutions
Integration & Interface Support
- Support integrations between Finacle and third-party systems (e.g., payment gateways, mobile banking, ATM switches)
- Troubleshoot interface failures and ensure seamless data flow across systems
- Work with middleware and APIs where applicable
Data Integrity, Security & Compliance
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of banking data
- Support audit processes and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Implement and enforce system access controls and security protocols
- Maintain audit trails and system logs
Documentation & Knowledge Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation
- Document incidents, fixes, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases and continuous improvement initiatives
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with Finacle vendor support teams for issue resolution and escalations
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, operations, and business units
- Provide regular system performance and incident reports to management
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience supporting Finacle Core Banking System in a banking environment
- Strong exposure to Finacle architecture, modules, and customization
- Strong knowledge of Finacle Core Banking System (Infosys Finacle)
- Experience with Finacle scripting and customization, Oracle databases / SQL querying, Unix/Linux environments
- Experience handling System upgrades & migrations, Patch management, Production support environments
- Understanding of integrations (APIs, middleware, messaging systems)
