LOANS (RELATIONSHIP) OFFICER 5 POSITIONS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Conduct field visits to understand client needs and provide appropriate loan solutions.
• Educate clients on loan products, requirements, repayment schedules, and terms.

Loan Processing & Disbursement

• Assess and process loan applications in accordance with credit policies.
• Conduct credit appraisals and risk analysis on loan applicants.
• Recommend loan approvals, rejections, or restructuring as appropriate.
• Monitor the disbursement of loans to ensure timely and accurate processing.

 Loan Monitoring & Recovery

• Monitor loan repayments and follow up on delinquent accounts.
• Develop and implement loan recovery strategies in cases of default.
• Maintain updated and accurate loan documentation and client records.

 Business Development

• Actively market and promote loan products to increase the institution’s loan portfolio.
• Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the growth of the business.
• Participate in marketing campaigns, open days, and community outreach events.

Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare regular reports on loan performance, disbursements, and arrears.
• Ensure full compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a high standard of confidentiality and customer data protection.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Marketing, or any related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Loans Officer or Relationship Officer in a Sacco, MFI, or Bank
• Proven ability to analyze creditworthiness and manage client relationships
• Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and under pressure
