DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the tour and travel sector.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Create and maintain a solid pipeline of potential clients through direct sales, networking, and referrals.
- Handle customer inquiries, follow up on leads, and convert prospects into clients.
Customer Service and Relationship Management:
- Provide personalized customer service to clients, addressing their travel needs and preferences.
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
- Ensure that clients’ travel experiences meet or exceed their expectations from booking to post-travel feedback.
- Resolve any complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Tour Package Design and Customization:
- Work with clients to understand their travel preferences and tailor packages accordingly.
- Provide expert advice on destinations, accommodation, transportation, and other travel-related services.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and new destinations to offer clients unique and attractive tour options.
Use of Travel Software:
- Utilize travel software and booking systems to handle reservations, flight bookings, hotel accommodations, and other travel arrangements.
- Ensure accuracy in processing bookings and maintaining client records in the system.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and follow-ups.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the management team.
- Keep up with industry regulations and travel documentation requirements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Diploma in Tourism Management, Hospitality, or a related field
- 2-3 years of experience in a tour and travel company, with a proven track record in sales and customer service
- Proficiency in travel software and booking systems (e.g., Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, etc.)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and manage several client accounts simultaneously
- Excellent knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Good understanding of the travel industry, destinations, and services
