DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Target Achievement

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve monthly and quarterly targets.
  • Monitor daily sales performance and ensure team productivity.
  • Drive revenue growth and ensure consistent achievement of KPIs.
  • Ensure availability and visibility of products in assigned territories.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Supervise, coach, and mentor Field Sales Representatives.
  • Conduct regular field visits and joint calls with sales reps.
  • Set individual sales targets and monitor performance.
  • Provide performance feedback and conduct appraisals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train new sales staff where necessary.

 Route-to-Market Execution

  • Ensure proper territory coverage and route planning.
  • Optimize distribution channels including wholesalers, retailers, and sub-distributors.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Ensure adherence to pricing and trade terms.

Market Development & Penetration

  • Identify new business opportunities and onboard new outlets.
  • Strengthen relationships with key accounts and distributors.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
  • Execute trade promotions and visibility campaigns.

Reporting & Administration

  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Track sales metrics and analyze trends.
  • Manage team attendance and route compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation of orders and collections.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Sales Supervisor in FMCG (preferably diapers, sanitary pads, personal care, or similar fast-moving products).
  • Proven experience managing field sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of Nairobi FMCG distribution networks.
  • Experience in route planning and territory management.
