DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Warehouse Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Inventory Control and Stock Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Ensure proper storage of goods to minimize damage or loss.

 Distribution and Logistics Oversight

  • Coordinate the dispatch of goods to clients, retail outlets, and depots.
  • Manage delivery schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with transport and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.

Team Leadership and Staff Development

  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Allocate responsibilities and monitor staff productivity.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety within the warehouse.

Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare regular reports on inventory status, warehouse performance, and operational challenges.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for process improvements.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse management within an FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in depot operations and distribution management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and reconciliation
  • Proven ability to supervise staff and optimize operational efficiency.
