DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize workflow.
- Monitor warehouse performance and develop strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Inventory Control and Stock Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely stock reconciliation.
- Monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Ensure proper storage of goods to minimize damage or loss.
Distribution and Logistics Oversight
- Coordinate the dispatch of goods to clients, retail outlets, and depots.
- Manage delivery schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
- Collaborate with transport and logistics teams to ensure timely and cost-effective distribution.
Team Leadership and Staff Development
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor staff productivity.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety within the warehouse.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare regular reports on inventory status, warehouse performance, and operational challenges.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for process improvements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Commerce, or related field.
- Professional certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse management within an FMCG environment.
- Demonstrated experience in depot operations and distribution management.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and reconciliation
- Proven ability to supervise staff and optimize operational efficiency.
