DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock Monitoring & Tracking

  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing stock to ensure accuracy in records.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory logs and databases.
  • Identify and report stock discrepancies or shortages promptly.
  • Track slow-moving, fast-moving, and obsolete items.

Data Collection & Analysis

  • Collect and organize sales and stock data from various sources.
  • Analyze inventory trends and patterns to support decision-making.
  • Generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, or annual inventory reports.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize inventory management.

Auditing & Compliance

  • Assist in periodic stock audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for stock handling.
  • Help implement inventory control measures to reduce losses or wastage.
  • Support verification of stock against purchase orders and invoices.

Operational Support

  • Assist procurement and operations teams with stock ordering and restocking.
  • Support receiving, labeling, and organizing inventory in the warehouse or storage area.
  • Help track and manage stock movements across different locations if applicable.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all inventory transactions.

 Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory processes and reporting.
  • Recommend solutions for better stock management and forecasting.
  • Stay updated on inventory management tools, software, and best practices.

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management principles is an advantage.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Analytical and data-driven mindset.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar software is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
