DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Supervision
- Oversee daily restaurant operations including opening and closing procedures
- Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service teams
- Monitor table service flow to reduce delays and improve efficiency
- Ensure compliance with operational standards and SOPs
Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Supervise waiters/waitresses and other front-of-house staff
- Assign duties and monitor performance during shifts
- Provide on-the-job training and continuous coaching to staff
- Conduct briefings before shifts and debriefs after service
- Support in resolving staff conflicts professionally
Customer Service Excellence
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, courteous, and high-quality service
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively and calmly
- Monitor guest satisfaction and gather feedback for improvement
- Ensure a welcoming and professional dining environment
POS & Cash Handling
- Oversee accurate use of POS systems for order processing
- Ensure correct billing, payment processing, and receipt issuance
- Monitor cash handling procedures to minimize errors and losses
- Reconcile sales at the end of shifts where required
Hygiene & Compliance
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor cleanliness of dining area, service stations, and staff appearance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Inventory & Reporting
- Assist in monitoring stock levels for front-of-house items
- Report shortages, breakages, or operational challenges to management
- Support in minimizing wastage and improving efficiency
Performance & Targets
- Support management in achieving daily and monthly sales targets
- Encourage upselling and excellent service delivery by staff
- Track service performance and suggest improvements
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Supervisor or Senior Waiter/Waitress in a restaurant or hotel
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems
