DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a warm and courteous welcome to all guests, ensuring they feel valued from arrival to departure
  • Guide customers through the menu, offering recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and specials
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders and relay them promptly to the kitchen or bar
  • Serve meals and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper service etiquette and timing
  • Regularly check on guests to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and anticipate additional needs
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary
  • Prepare tables before service (mise en place) and ensure they are clean, well-arranged, and fully set
  • Clear tables promptly after use and reset them for the next guests
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the dining area in line with health regulations
  • Process customer bills accurately and handle cash or POS transactions responsibly
  • Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth coordination and timely service delivery
  • Support opening and closing duties, including cleaning, stocking supplies, and organizing service areas
  • Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, and service procedures at all times
  • Assist in inventory monitoring and report shortages or breakages
  • Contribute to a positive team environment and support colleagues during busy periods

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality or Food & Beverage Service
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a restaurant or hotel setting
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Well-groomed, professional, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
