DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

  • Promote and sell company products to retail outlets, kiosks, shops, and other general trade customers.
  • Achieve assigned daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
  • Identify and onboard new customers within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to drive repeat business and customer loyalty.
  • Monitor customer needs and recommend suitable products to maximize sales opportunities.

Product Distribution & Delivery

  • Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers within designated routes.
  • Ensure timely order fulfillment and product availability in assigned outlets.
  • Verify deliveries and obtain necessary documentation and acknowledgments from customers.
  • Maintain proper handling of products during transportation and delivery.

Route & Territory Management

  • Plan and manage daily sales routes to maximize coverage and productivity.
  • Ensure all assigned outlets are visited according to schedule.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends within the territory.
  • Provide regular feedback on customer requirements and market opportunities.

Collections & Reporting

  • Support collection of payments where applicable and ensure proper accountability.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, deliveries, stock movement, and customer interactions.
  • Submit daily sales and route reports to the supervisor.
  • Account for company stock, cash, and other assigned resources.

Vehicle & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure the assigned tuktuk or motorcycle is well maintained and operated responsibly.
  • Conduct routine checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and company safety policies at all times.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Minimum KCSE certificate.
  • Proven experience as a Tuktuk Salesperson, Motorbike Salesperson, Van Sales Representative, or FMCG Field Sales Representative.
  • Experience selling and distributing consumable products within the general trade market is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and build customer relationships.
  • Good knowledge of Nairobi routes and general trade distribution channels.
  • Valid Tuktuk Driving License and/or Motorcycle Riding License.
