DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Systems & Hardware Support

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices (printers, scanners, telephony).
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues across office and outlet shops.
  • Ensure call center computers (hardware and software) are fully operational.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance checks on IT equipment.

 Network & Server Administration

  • Monitor and maintain company servers, LAN/WAN networks, and VPN links nationwide.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Cisco network equipment.
  • Ensure stable internet connectivity and resolve outages promptly.
  • Inspect and monitor server rooms to maintain uptime and security.

Database & System Support

  • Provide support for StarTimes systems used by staff and agents.
  • Manage and troubleshoot MySQL, Oracle, or other databases.
  • Execute SQL queries for reporting and system optimization.
  • Document system issues and resolutions for knowledge base.

User & Customer Support

  • Deliver IT support to call center agents, business point agents, and customer service teams.
  • Train staff on IT systems, applications, and troubleshooting basics.
  • Respond to user requests for SMS dispatch across departments.
  • Provide frontline IT support for contact center operations.

Data & Security Management

  • Ensure daily data backups are completed successfully.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Monitor system security, access controls, and compliance with IT policies.
  • Report and escalate security incidents to IT management.

Web & Digital Support

  • Update and maintain the company website as requested.
  • Support digital platforms used by StarTimes for customer engagement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams on IT-enabled campaigns.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Compile daily IT maintenance and performance reports.
  • Maintain logs of technical issues, resolutions, and preventive actions.
  • Provide feedback to IT supervisors on recurring problems and improvement opportunities.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • 1–3 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network maintenance.
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Linux+) are an added advantage
  • Strong knowledge of Cisco equipment and configuration.
  • Proficiency in Windows/Linux system architecture and OS installation
  • Experience with MySQL, Oracle, or other common databases; skilled in SQL
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Ability to work meticulously, under pressure, and in a shift system.
