DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales and Business Development

  • Promote and sell pharmaceutical and medical products to healthcare facilities, pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, and other assigned customers.
  • Achieve agreed monthly and quarterly sales targets and commission objectives.
  • Identify new customers and business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase product uptake and market share.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with doctors, pharmacists, nurses, procurement teams, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand their needs and provide appropriate product information.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, concerns, and product-related requests.
  • Maintain regular follow-up with existing customers to encourage repeat business and strengthen customer loyalty.

Product Promotion and Market Knowledge

  • Present and explain pharmaceutical and medical products, including their features, benefits, usage, and applicable indications, in line with approved product information.
  • Stay informed about assigned products, competitor offerings, pricing, and developments within the pharmaceutical market.
  • Conduct product presentations and promotional activities for healthcare professionals and other relevant customers.
  • Gather market feedback and communicate customer and competitor insights to the Sales Manager.

Sales Administration and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, orders, and follow-ups.
  • Prepare and submit regular sales reports in accordance with company requirements.
  • Monitor sales performance, outstanding orders, and customer accounts within the assigned territory.
  • Ensure sales activities and customer interactions are conducted in accordance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Territory Management and General Duties

  • Plan daily and weekly customer visits effectively to maximize sales opportunities and territory coverage.
  • Monitor assigned territory performance and identify areas requiring additional sales focus.
  • Participate in product launches, medical conferences, exhibitions, promotional campaigns, and other sales activities as required.
  • Perform other reasonable sales and business development duties assigned by the Sales Manager.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biomedical Sciences, Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical sales, or a related healthcare sales role.
  • Demonstrated experience in achieving sales targets and developing customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical or medical products and the healthcare market is highly desirable.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the assigned territory will be an added advantage.
