JOB LOCATION NAIROBI, WITH REGULAR MOVEMENT AROUND KAJIADO AND MACHAKO COUNTIES 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Community Outreach & Mobilisation

  • Conduct community outreach activities to identify community needs, challenges, opportunities and potential beneficiaries.
  • Mobilise community members and stakeholders to participate in programmes, meetings, activities and other initiatives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, local leaders, groups and other relevant stakeholders.

 Community Engagement & Facilitation

  • Facilitate community meetings, forums, focus group discussions, training sessions and other engagement activities.
  • Gather community feedback, concerns and recommendations and communicate relevant findings to the appropriate team.
  • Promote effective participation and ensure community members are informed and engaged in relevant programmes and activities.

Field Operations & Coordination

  • Coordinate and support day-to-day field activities, ensuring that schedules, venues, materials and other logistical requirements are in place.
  • Conduct regular field visits across Kajiado, Machakos and other assigned locations to monitor activities and provide operational support.
  • Follow up on field assignments, outstanding actions and operational requirements to ensure activities are completed effectively and on time.

Beneficiary & Stakeholder Support

  • Support the identification, registration and coordination of beneficiaries in accordance with programme requirements.
  • Respond to community and beneficiary enquiries professionally and ensure issues are appropriately addressed or escalated.
  • Maintain good working relationships with partners, local organisations, community representatives and other stakeholders.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of community activities, attendance, beneficiaries, field visits, feedback and other relevant information.
  • Prepare brief field reports, activity updates and documentation on community engagement and operational activities.
  • Ensure that required forms, registers, photographs, attendance records and other supporting documentation are properly maintained and submitted on time.

Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate programme information, schedules, activities and relevant updates clearly to community members and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure effective planning and execution of community and field activities.
  • Escalate community concerns, operational challenges and emerging issues promptly to the relevant supervisor or team.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • A qualification in Community Development, Social Work, Education, Administration, Communication, Business or another relevant field.
  • Previous experience in community mobilisation, fieldwork, customer relations, administration or operations coordination.
  • Experience working directly with communities, beneficiaries or other stakeholders will be an added advantage.
