SECURITY SUPERVISOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Security Operations and Supervision

• Supervise security guards, allocate duties, prepare duty rosters, and ensure adequate deployment of personnel at assigned sites.
• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, discipline, uniform compliance, and performance to ensure adherence to established security procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections and security briefings to verify operational readiness and compliance with security standards.

Access Control and Risk Management

• Oversee access control procedures, visitor registration, vehicle checks, and movement of authorized personnel and property.
• Conduct routine security inspections and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate preventive measures.
• Monitor security equipment, surveillance systems, patrol activities, and other security arrangements to ensure effective protection of people and property.

Incident Management and Emergency Response

• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, suspicious activities, and breaches of security procedures.
• Coordinate emergency response measures, including incident containment, evacuation where necessary, and communication with relevant emergency services.
• Investigate incidents within the scope of authority, document findings, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

 Reporting and Client Relations

• Prepare daily occurrence reports, incident reports, inspection reports, and other operational records accurately and on time.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, management, security personnel, and relevant stakeholders regarding security matters.
• Provide regular operational updates, identify service delivery challenges, and recommend improvements to security operations.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Diploma or Certificate in Security Management, Criminology, Risk Management, Police Studies, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Demonstrated experience in security team management, duty allocation, performance monitoring, and incident handling.
• Relevant security training or professional certification.
• Experience in access control, CCTV surveillance, emergency response, and security risk assessment.
• Previous experience supervising guards across multiple sites or managing security operations for corporate clients.
