DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare accurate monthly, weekly, and daily financial reports.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date accounting records for hotel and events operations.
- Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and management reports.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of all financial transactions.
F&B Control & Cost Management
- Monitor Food & Beverage costs and ensure proper cost control measures.
- Track usage of stock in kitchen, bar, and event departments.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs.
- Support pricing decisions through cost analysis and reporting.
Stock & Inventory Reconciliation
- Conduct regular stock counts for food, beverages, and event materials.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation and movement records.
- Work closely with procurement and stores teams to ensure proper stock control.
Accounts Processing
- Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Process invoices, receipts, and supplier payments accurately.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
- Verify all expenses and ensure compliance with financial policies.
System & Data Management
- Operate and maintain accounting systems used in hotel and events operations.
- Ensure accurate data entry and system updates for financial transactions.
- Generate reports from accounting software for management review.
- Support system audits and data integrity checks.
Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report financial risks or irregularities.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- CPA Part III or CPA Part IV certification is required.
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in hotel and events accounting is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of F&B control systems and hospitality operations.
- Experience in stock reconciliation and inventory management.
- Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Opera or similar).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong understanding of hospitality financial operations.
