DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare accurate monthly, weekly, and daily financial reports.
  • Maintain complete and up-to-date accounting records for hotel and events operations.
  • Prepare income statements, balance sheets, and management reports.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all financial transactions.

F&B Control & Cost Management

  • Monitor Food & Beverage costs and ensure proper cost control measures.
  • Track usage of stock in kitchen, bar, and event departments.
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted costs.
  • Support pricing decisions through cost analysis and reporting.

Stock & Inventory Reconciliation

  • Conduct regular stock counts for food, beverages, and event materials.
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory valuation and movement records.
  • Work closely with procurement and stores teams to ensure proper stock control.

Accounts Processing

  • Handle accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Process invoices, receipts, and supplier payments accurately.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
  • Verify all expenses and ensure compliance with financial policies.

System & Data Management

  • Operate and maintain accounting systems used in hotel and events operations.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and system updates for financial transactions.
  • Generate reports from accounting software for management review.
  • Support system audits and data integrity checks.

 

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain financial records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report financial risks or irregularities.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • CPA Part III or CPA Part IV certification is required.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hotel and events accounting is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of F&B control systems and hospitality operations.
  • Experience in stock reconciliation and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software/systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Opera or similar).
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong understanding of hospitality financial operations.
