DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Generation & Business Development
- Target Identification: Research and map B2B targets across universities, research institutes, industrial manufacturing, and testing labs.
- Outreach Strategy: Conduct cold calling, email campaigns, and networking at industry trade shows to build a robust pipeline.
- Account Planning: Develop strategic plans for high-value accounts to maximize long-term client retention.
Technical Consulting & Product Demonstrations
- Client Consultation: Assess technical workflows of clients to recommend optimal electrical systems and automation tools.
- Live Demonstrations: Conduct hands-on technical presentations of laboratory instrumentation for engineering teams and researchers.
- Subject Expertise: Answer deep technical queries regarding circuit design, power thresholds, safety compliance, and system integration.
Sales Pipeline & Account Management
- Cycle Management: Guide clients seamlessly through lead qualification, technical evaluation, negotiation, and closing.
- CRM Hygiene: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all client interactions, deals, and forecasts in the CRM system.
- After-Sales Support: Coordinate with technical service teams to ensure smooth product installation, calibration, and customer training.
Estimation, Quotations & Tender Management
- Proposal Costing: Evaluate client blueprints to prepare precise technical quotes, commercial proposals, and margin calculations.
- Tender Participation: Lead the preparation and submission of public and private sector competitive tender bids.
- Compliance Review: Ensure all commercial proposals align with local engineering standards, warranty terms, and company legal policies.
Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Trend Tracking: Monitor emerging technologies in power systems, smart grids, and lab automation to spot new market opportunities.
- Competitor Analysis: Evaluate competitor pricing, product features, and market positioning to refine internal sales pitches.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline
- 1–2 years of proven success in technical sales, engineering sales, industrial B2B sales, or business development
- Prior experience selling high-value laboratory instrumentation, test and measurement equipment, or power distribution systems
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power systems, automation protocols, and testing standards
- Sharp negotiation skills with the ability to articulate ROI to purchasing departments and C-level executives
- Willingness to travel frequently for on-site client visits, product installations, and industry conferences
