DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Business Development

  • Actively promote and sell laboratory equipment, consumables, and related supplies within the assigned territory
  • Identify potential customers including hospitals, schools, universities, research institutions, and private laboratories
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets

Client Relationship Management

  • Build, maintain, and grow strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and support
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business

Product Promotion & Demonstration

  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for clients
  • Educate customers on product usage, benefits, and value proposition
  • Customize solutions based on customer needs and laboratory requirements

Field Visits & Market Coverage

  • Plan and carry out regular field visits within the assigned area
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities
  • Expand market reach by identifying new regions and untapped clients

Sales Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and activity logs
  • Track sales performance against targets and provide insights for improvement
  • Maintain updated customer database and sales pipeline

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends
  • Provide feedback to management on customer needs and product performance
  • Recommend improvements or new product opportunities based on field insights

After-Sales Support

  • Ensure proper delivery and installation coordination of products where applicable
  • Handle customer complaints or issues professionally and promptly
  • Follow up on product performance and customer satisfaction

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Degree in any field (science-related field is an added advantage)
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or a related role
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a field-based role with frequent travel
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory equipment/products is an added advantage
