DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to management
- Monitor cash flow, revenue, expenses, and profitability
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
- Track budget performance and highlight variances
- Support management in financial planning and decision-making
Accounting & Controls
- Supervise all accounting operations including payable, receivable, and general ledger
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Coordinate internal and external audits
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide leadership and supervision to Accounts and Finance staff
- Support training, performance evaluation, and staff development
- Ensure effective coordination between Finance, Sales, and Operations teams
Sales & Operational Finance Support
- Monitor sales performance from a financial perspective
- Work closely with operations to ensure cost control and efficiency
- Support pricing, revenue tracking, and profitability analysis
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
- CPA-K (Certified Public Accountant – Kenya) is required
- Over 5+ years of experience in finance, with proven leadership/management experience
- Strong understanding of accounting systems and financial reporting
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- High analytical and problem-solving ability
- Excellent financial reporting and interpretation skills
- Integrity, accountability, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
