DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean and sanitize assigned areas including rooms, corridors, washrooms, and common spaces
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
  • Clean windows, walls, furniture, and fixtures as required
  • Ensure washrooms are regularly cleaned, disinfected, and stocked with supplies
  • Maintain cleanliness of high-touch surfaces to uphold hygiene standards

Room Preparation & Upkeep

  • Make beds, change linens, and ensure proper arrangement of bedding
  • Replace towels, toiletries, and other guest supplies as needed
  • Ensure rooms and spaces are well-organized and presentable at all times
  • Check for and report missing or damaged items in assigned areas

Equipment & Supplies Handling

  • Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and appropriately
  • Store cleaning materials properly after use
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning supplies and report shortages
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of housekeeping tools and equipment

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and sanitation
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) where required
  • Report hazards, accidents, or unsafe conditions immediately

Reporting & Communication

  • Report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or electrical faults
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Respond promptly to instructions and feedback
  • Escalate any lost and found items according to policy

Team Support

  • Assist colleagues in completing tasks during busy periods
  • Support laundry operations when required
  • Participate in periodic deep-cleaning activities
  • Maintain a cooperative and professional working relationship with team members

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Certificate or basic training in Housekeeping, Hospitality, or a related field (added advantage)
  • 6 months to 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and hygiene standards
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Good physical stamina and ability to work long hours on feet
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently
  • Time management and ability to complete tasks within deadlines
  • Reliability, honesty, and strong work ethic
