DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in production machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
- Identify mechanical problems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Repair or replace defective machine parts and components.
- Conduct root cause analysis of recurring mechanical failures.
Equipment Monitoring & Performance
- Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities.
- Ensure proper lubrication, alignment, and calibration of equipment.
- Maintain machinery in optimal working condition.
- Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and service records.
- Record all repairs, parts replaced, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare reports on machine performance and downtime incidents.
- Update maintenance schedules and work orders.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to workplace safety standards and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of tools and protective equipment.
- Support compliance with industrial safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance systems.
- Proven experience in mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good technical and mechanical aptitude.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
