DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Night Audit & Financial Reconciliation
- Verify, balance, and reconcile all daily financial transactions across hotel operations.
- Audit revenue from Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and other departments.
- Ensure accurate posting of charges, payments, and adjustments in the system.
- Prepare and review daily audit reports and end-of-day summaries.
Departmental Audits
- Conduct detailed audits of all hotel departments.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and financial controls.
- Verify accuracy of stock usage, purchases, and inventory records.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Monitor adherence to internal control systems and accounting standards.
- Identify control weaknesses, irregularities, or operational gaps.
- Ensure proper documentation and approval processes are followed.
- Support compliance with financial and hospitality industry standards.
Stock & Inventory Verification
- Assist in conducting stock audits and inventory reconciliations.
- Review variances between physical stock counts and system records.
- Report discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports highlighting findings and exceptions.
- Provide recommendations to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of all audit activities and findings.
- Escalate critical issues to management promptly.
Operational Support
- Support smooth night operations, including Front Office handover processes.
- Liaise with relevant departments to resolve audit queries.
- Assist in improving efficiency across hotel operations through data-driven insights.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- At least 3 years of audit experience in a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations and departmental workflows.
- Experience in internal controls, stock audits, and reconciliations.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of hospitality financial systems.
