POOL ATTENDANT

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pool Safety & Supervision

• Monitor swimming pool activities to ensure guest safety at all times
• Enforce pool rules and safety regulations consistently
• Identify and respond quickly to unsafe behavior or emergencies
• Perform water rescues and administer basic first aid when necessary

Lifesaving & Emergency Response

• Provide CPR and First Aid in case of accidents or medical emergencies
• Assist in emergency evacuation procedures when required
• Maintain readiness of rescue equipment at all times
• Report incidents accurately and promptly to supervisors

 Pool Area Maintenance

• Ensure the pool area is clean, organized, and free from hazards
• Check and maintain pool water clarity and hygiene standards
• Remove debris from pool and surrounding areas
• Monitor pool chemicals and report irregularities

Guest Service & Support

• Welcome and guide guests using the pool facilities
• Provide towels, loungers, and other amenities as required
• Assist guests with inquiries and ensure a positive experience
• Maintain a friendly and professional presence at all times

 Equipment & Facility Care

• Inspect pool equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning
• Report maintenance issues such as leaks, broken tiles, or faulty systems
• Ensure rescue equipment (life rings, poles, etc.) is in good condition

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Certification in CPR and First Aid (mandatory).
• Lifeguard certification preferred for pool duties.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role (hotel, resort, or public pool).
• Strong swimming ability and physical fitness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stay alert and focused for long periods.
