DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Customer Service

  • Welcome and attend to all customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Understand customer needs and recommend suitable clothing and jewellery items
  • Actively promote boutique products to achieve daily and monthly sales targets
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback efficiently and politely
  • Ensure a smooth checkout experience, including processing payments accurately

Product Display & Merchandising

  • Arrange clothing, jewellery, and accessories in an attractive and organized manner
  • Regularly restock shelves and display units to ensure products are well presented
  • Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with boutique guidelines
  • Highlight new arrivals, promotions, and best-selling items

Shop Maintenance

  • Keep the boutique clean, tidy, and visually appealing at all times
  • Ensure fitting areas and display sections are well maintained
  • Monitor stock levels and report low inventory to management
  • Support periodic stock-taking and inventory checks

Cash Handling & Record Keeping

  • Accurately process cash, mobile money, and card payments
  • Issue receipts and maintain proper transaction records
  • Safeguard daily sales revenue and follow shop financial procedures

Customer Experience & Brand Representation

  • Maintain a positive and professional image of the boutique at all times
  • Build good relationships with repeat customers
  • Support marketing initiatives such as promotions, discounts, and events

 

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • At least 1 year of experience in retail sales, preferably in a boutique or fashion store
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of fashion, styling, and customer preferences (an advantage)
  • Basic numeracy skills for handling payments and transactions
  • Honest, reliable, and well-presented
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
