DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement commercial sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in domestic and export markets.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform sales strategies.
  • Prepare and implement annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance plans.
  • Drive profitability through pricing strategies and cost management.

Export Market Development

  • Expand the company’s presence in EAC and COMESA markets through strategic partnerships and distributor networks.
  • Identify potential export clients, agents, and distributors in regional markets.
  • Manage export documentation, regulatory compliance, and trade requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure efficient export operations.
  • Participate in international trade fairs, exhibitions, and market visits.

Distribution & Channel Management

  • Develop and manage a strong distribution network locally and regionally.
  • Monitor distributor performance and ensure alignment with company sales targets.
  • Establish channel partnerships that improve product availability and market reach.
  • Implement effective sales distribution systems and route-to-market strategies.

 Key Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing, and supply agreements.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and ensure timely resolution.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales and marketing team.
  • Set performance targets and monitor individual and team performance.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development to improve sales effectiveness.
  • Foster a high-performance and results-oriented culture.

Reporting & Performance Analysis

  • Prepare regular sales reports and performance analyses for management.
  • Track sales metrics including revenue, margins, market share, and customer acquisition.
  • Use data insights to refine sales strategies and improve performance.

Compliance & Brand Representation

  • Ensure all sales and export activities comply with relevant trade regulations and company policies.
  • Represent the company professionally in industry events and stakeholder engagements.
  • Protect and promote the company’s brand image in all markets.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Sales, Marketing, or Export Trade will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, distribution, and export trade.
  • Proven experience working with EAC and COMESA markets.
  • Demonstrated track record in achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
  • Strong commercial and business development skills
  • Export trade knowledge and international market exposure
