DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Supervision & Coordination

  • Supervise all on-site construction activities.
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, skilled workers, and casual laborers.
  • Ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and timelines.
  • Monitor daily productivity and address delays promptly.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce site safety regulations and ensure adherence to OSHA standards.
  • Conduct routine safety checks and toolbox talks.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE by all workers.
  • Report and document any incidents, hazards, or near-misses.

 Quality Control

  • Conduct regular quality inspections of workmanship and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Identify defects and ensure corrective measures are implemented promptly.

Project Scheduling & Progress Monitoring

  • Track project milestones and daily progress.
  • Assist in maintaining project timelines and minimizing delays.
  • Provide daily/weekly progress reports to management.

 Materials & Inventory Management

  • Monitor material usage and prevent wastage.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Verify materials delivered meet required standards and quantities.

 Reporting & Communication

  • Maintain daily site logs and activity reports.
  • Escalate emerging issues, risks, or disputes immediately.
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, suppliers, and other stakeholders as required.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Certificate in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in site supervision.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in basic reporting and documentation.
  • Must be available to work full-time on-site in Kamulu for the contract duration.
