JOB SUMMARY

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Dry Material Stores Manager to oversee the efficient management of dry raw materials and warehouse operations within a food processing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment, managing inbound material flows, and leading the warehouse team to achieve high standards of productivity, efficiency, and safety.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Warehouse & Stores Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the dry material stores, ensuring efficient receiving, storage, handling, and issuing of raw materials.
  • Maintain proper warehouse organization and ensure materials are stored securely and systematically.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement measures to improve operational efficiency and productivity.

Inventory Management

  • Monitor stock levels, usage, and inventory movements to ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials.
  • Optimize inventory holding levels and carrying costs while minimizing stock-outs, wastage, and obsolete materials.
  • Conduct and coordinate regular stock counts, reconciliations, and investigations of inventory variances.

Inbound Material Management

  • Plan and coordinate inbound material flows in line with production requirements and procurement schedules.
  • Ensure incoming materials are properly received, inspected, documented, and stored.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of required materials.

 

Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, supervise, and develop the stores and warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
  • Allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure staff follow established warehouse procedures.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, productivity, and continuous improvement within the stores function.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards within the warehouse and stores.
  • Maintain proper handling, storage, housekeeping, and movement procedures for dry materials.
  • Ensure warehouse activities comply with company policies, food safety requirements, and applicable regulations.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • CPA qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within FMCG or food processing.
  • Proven experience in warehouse, stores, inventory, and raw material management.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehouse operations.
  • Good understanding of inbound logistics and material replenishment processes.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory/warehouse management systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
