ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (3 NEEDED)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical Installation and Commissioning

• Carry out electrical installations, wiring, equipment setup, and commissioning in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect and test electrical installations to ensure proper functionality, reliability, and compliance with applicable requirements.
• Prepare installation reports and recommend appropriate improvements where necessary.

 Equipment Maintenance and Servicing

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment, UPS systems, power protection devices, and related installations.
• Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and potential failures, and undertake repairs within the scope of technical competence.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and recommend measures to minimize equipment downtime.

 Troubleshooting and Fault Diagnosis

• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing instruments and systematic troubleshooting procedures.
• Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement suitable corrective actions.
• Document faults, repairs, and test results, escalating complex technical issues to the supervisor when necessary.

Technical Support and Customer Service

• Provide technical assistance to clients during equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and servicing.
• Explain equipment operation, maintenance requirements, and technical solutions clearly and professionally.
• Maintain positive client relationships and communicate effectively with Somali-speaking clients where required.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent relevant qualification from a recognized institution.
• At least 2–3 years of relevant practical experience in electrical engineering, equipment maintenance, technical services, industrial maintenance, or a related field.
• Demonstrable practical knowledge of electrical installations, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fault diagnosis.
• Familiarity with electrical testing instruments, maintenance tools, and safe electrical work practices.
• Basic knowledge of electrical control systems and power protection equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Candidates who are fluent in Somali and English, particularly those experienced in serving Somali-speaking clients, are encouraged to apply
