FEMALE NURSE (SCHOOL)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend to male and female students presenting with illnesses, injuries, or other medical concerns.
• Conduct holistic nursing assessments, including taking medical histories and vital signs.
• Provide appropriate treatment and nursing care within the scope of professional practice.
• Administer prescribed medications appropriately and maintain accurate medication records.
• Monitor students’ conditions and provide follow-up care where required.
• Provide first aid and respond appropriately to medical emergencies.
• Record students’ medical information, vital signs, treatment provided, and medications administered accurately and confidentially.
• Consult and coordinate with the Doctor on Duty when further assessment, diagnosis, treatment, or referral is required.
• Provide supervision and guidance to clinic support staff when required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised clinic environment.
• Ensure appropriate handling and availability of medical supplies and equipment.
• Maintain confidentiality of all student medical information.
• Adhere to professional nursing standards, clinic procedures, and relevant health and safety requirements.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc Nursing) from a recognised institution.
• Minimum of 3 years’ relevant nursing experience.
• Valid professional registration/licence and practising certificate, where applicable.
• Certificate(s) from recognised professional or healthcare institutions.
• First Aid and/or Basic Life Support certification is an added advantage.
• Strong clinical assessment and nursing skills.
• Good knowledge of basic treatment and medication administration.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgement.
