DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Records & Accounting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions and records.

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate financial reports and summaries for management review.
  • Support the analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement areas.

Cash Flow & Budget Management

  • Monitor daily cash flow and assist in forecasting cash requirements.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and tracking actual expenses against approved budgets.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting activities.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approval of financial transactions.

Compliance & Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation.
  • Assist in implementing financial controls to prevent errors or fraud.

Administrative & Team Support

  • Assist the finance team with general administrative and accounting duties.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial data collection.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as requested by management.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, or progress towards certification) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance or accounting, preferably within the FMCG sector.
  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
