DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare a wide variety of fresh juices, smoothies, wellness shots, protein shakes, and other specialty beverages.
- Use fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and other ingredients to produce high-quality drinks.
- Follow standardized recipes while accommodating customer preferences and dietary requirements where possible.
- Ensure beverages are prepared consistently in terms of taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Monitor ingredient freshness and discard products that do not meet quality standards.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Safely operate commercial-grade juicers, blenders, mixers, and other juice bar equipment.
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of all equipment before, during, and after service.
- Report equipment faults or maintenance requirements promptly.
- Ensure equipment is handled according to manufacturer and company guidelines.
Customer Service
- Welcome customers warmly and create a positive dining experience.
- Explain menu items and recommend beverages based on customer preferences.
- Accurately take customer orders and communicate any special requests.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve minor concerns promptly.
- Maintain a friendly, professional, and service-oriented attitude at all times.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Adhere to all food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
- Ensure proper washing, storage, and handling of fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Monitor stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
- Maintain a clean and organized juice preparation area throughout the shift.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor daily inventory levels of fruits, vegetables, supplements, and consumables.
- Inform management of low stock levels in a timely manner.
- Minimize waste through proper portioning and storage.
- Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Support colleagues during busy service periods.
- Participate in cleaning schedules and opening/closing duties.
- Attend training sessions and implement new beverage recipes and procedures.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
- Food Safety and Hygiene certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Juice Barista in a high-end restaurant, hotel, café, wellness centre, or premium hospitality establishment.
- Experience preparing fresh juices, smoothies, detox drinks, and wellness beverages using commercial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, juice combinations, and smoothie preparation.
- Proficiency in operating commercial juicers, blenders, and beverage equipment.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of food safety, HACCP principles, and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
