PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning and Execution

• Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet operational targets and deadlines.
• Allocate production resources, monitor output, and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and raw materials.

 Production Process Management

• Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to established operating procedures.
• Identify production challenges, minimize downtime, and implement corrective measures to improve operational performance.
• Ensure proper operation of production equipment and coordinate with the maintenance team to minimize breakdowns.

 Quality Assurance and Food Safety

• Ensure products meet established quality specifications and comply with company standards.
• Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and HACCP requirements throughout production.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Team Leadership and Supervision

• Supervise, coordinate, and allocate duties to production staff to ensure effective execution of daily activities.
• Monitor employee performance, attendance, and discipline while providing coaching and on-the-job training.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to company policies and production procedures.

Production Reporting and Performance Monitoring

• Prepare and submit regular production performance reports, highlighting output, productivity, and operational challenges.
• Monitor key production indicators, including production efficiency, material wastage, downtime, and rejection rates.
• Analyze production performance against set targets and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Degree in Production Management, Food Science, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the food processing industry.
• Demonstrated experience in supervising production teams and managing manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of production planning, process optimization, quality control, and inventory management.
• Understanding of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Additional training or certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO standards, or production management will be an added advantage.
